Scripture Challenge - Fear Not

"Fear not"...Aren't those comforting words? Especially when they come to us from GOD!! In Isaiah 41:10 He says..."So do not fear, for I am with you..." Seriously, if God is telling us we have nothing to fear, perhaps we should give that idea some consideration. When I was a child I actually feared less than I have feared as an adult. I accepted the Lord at a very young age. I put my complete trust in Him right from the start. Yes, I did close my closet doors every night and I still do! lol However, it was never from a fear that He was not in complete control and keeping a safe watch over me! Oh, but the fears did start to creep in a little bit when I became a mother! There were so many dangers out there for my girls! There is a danger in giving in to those fears that we "feel". Now my girls are both out in the big wide world on their own and making their own decisions. You know what? God is still in complete control and keeping a safe watch over me...and them too! :o)

For my page, I actually used the Scripture verse very literally. The black page is the night, of course, and it's filled with these bright sparkly stars. You can't be scared of the dark when it's so bright! lol The arrows don't really show up that great in the picture but there's some wonderful symbolism involved there as well. As the verse states, we are not to fear..."the arrow that flies by day"...so I wanted to also include the arrows. As I was cutting them out of the silver foil paper I was thinking about how it resembled a mirror. It came to me that these arrows are all "smoke and mirrors"...they have absolutely no power over us because God has told us not to fear them! Cool, huh? :o)

Scripture Challenge - Forgive

This was a very different page for me...much harder to do than I thought it would be! A CLEAN page...a white page...no embellishments at all...YIKES!! That was the plan but I almost couldn't do it! lol At the last minute I was going to add "just a little something"! However, I decided even that would spoil the point I was trying to make! The point being this...when we confess our sins and ask for forgiveness, we are forgiven! WOW, right? Our slate is wiped clean...completely clean...hence the white page cleared of all embellishments. It is because of what Jesus did on the cross, out of His love for us, that we have this gift of forgiveness. That is why my page has only the red "forgive" and heart! :o)

Decorative Pins

So I decided I would make a couple of pins to add to some projects I'm working on. Well...they are TOTALLY addicting! So my "couple" turned into fifty-five! lol They're so much fun to make! It's always a bonus when you can use supplies from your stash too!
