A Rose is a rose is a rose! :o)

Hello, my friends!

I made a card today for several challenges that I want to participate in.
It's so fun when I can enter several of my favorites with one card!  :o)

I used several new products on this card:
a pretty new Image,
four new Cheery Lynn dies,
one of my new roses,
and a new digi sentiment that I made.

I have a funny little story to tell you.
I've been busy colouring up a whole bunch of new images.
As I was getting notifications of new challenges,
I was coming up with a project in my mind.
Then today the new Tiddly Ink challenge was announced,
and that inspired me to make my sentiment.
It was so that I could enter my card in their challenge too.

So...I put my card all together, take photos, and start blogging.
Only to realize I didn't use my Tiddly Ink image at all!
Oh, well! Maybe next time! lol

In case you're interested in using my sentiment, I'll pop it into my "Free Stuff" page.
I forgot to add Shakespeare's name to it but I think everyone knows he said it.

{Glory Art} Scripture Challenge 2015 #6 - Follower

Sunday Blessings, my friends!

It has happened again...
I have gotten a little bit behind on my Scripture Challenge tags.
Just a little bit...so I'll be back on track very soon!

I LOVE to make these Scripture challenge projects.
After Patter posts the challenge, I prayerfully consider it.
I don't read Patter's devotional, or look at anyone else's projects, until I have finished my post.
As I study the Scripture verses that relate to the word or subject given, one will jump out at me,
along with a picture in my mind of what my project will look like.
Then I know what I need to make!

 The trick is doing it using what I have on hand! lol

Have you ever been deep in a thick forest?
It's like being in a different world.
The darkness, the smell, the rustling of little critters...
it's all so wonderful!
It can be a frightening place, as well.
So dark and disorienting.
It's easy to become lost and run in circles trying to find your way out.
Then you see a glimmer of light...you keep your eyes on the light and follow it to the edge of the forest.
YAY!! Freedom from the darkness!

So it is with life!
Jesus is the light!
We just need to follow that light, and we will be led out of the dark scary places,
and into a world of freedom and JOY!

For those of you that have been wondering where my
Hide His Word in My Heart Scripture pages have gone...I'll tell you.
I was having a really hard time with keeping up with a page a week.
With all the my other DT posts, and challenges I want to enter, I just couldn't continue.
I will just continue to use Scripture on other projects...as you know I like to do! :o)

Have a Wonder Full Day! :o)

Happy Saturday, friends!

I'm back with another project!
I will be giving this one to my MIL for Mother's Day, as the inside says Happy Mother's Day!
This digi is called "Blooming Blessings" and you can find it in  Deedee's Shop.

As always, Deedee's digi sets come with precoloured images, or ones you can colour yourself.
This time I chose to colour it myself, with my markers.
I matted it with purple cardstock to match the flowers,
and used a new Cheery Lynn corner die on two corners.
Diamond Stickles was added to the flowers.
I then adhered everything to a white card base.
I added some pretty flower sequins that you will soon be able to purchase from Where Ideas Bloom.
Finally, I added the sentiment.
Every day is full of wonder, isn't it? :o)

Materials Used:
Papers: Recollections - Cardstock;
Image: Deedee's Digis - Blooming Blessings,
Spectrum Noir Markers;
Sentiment: The Nickel Nook - Free Stuff Page;
Die: Cheery Lynn - Fancy Corner Cuts #4;
Sequins: Where Ideas Bloom - Flower Sequins;
Stickles: Diamond.

Country Kitchen Mini Album

Hello, my friends!

Today I have a fun mini album to share with you!
Mini album kits are so much fun!
When you work with a kit you don't have to do any of the thinking and planning...that's all been done for you.
You can just enjoy putting it all together!

I found this fun Country Kitchen Kit online.
I made it a while ago but I kept forgetting to share it.

I'm not going to go into explanations on this project.
I followed the directions that came with the kit,
then I added a couple more pages.

The one thing I will say is that this kit comes with a fabulous album.
It's perfect for another project I have, so I swapped it out with this one from my stash.

Okay, lots of pictures now:

I hope you like my mini album!
It was LOTS of fun to put together!
It's perfect to document my favorite dishes...with room for both recipes and photos.

Ephemera's Vintage Garden - Loving Sweetness - Project #2

Hello, my friends!

I'm back today to share another project using the beautiful  "Loving Sweetness" kit
from Ephemera's Vintage Garden
  You can find it HERE.

This time I decided to make some cards.

What a fun project this was!

I printed out all of the journal pages, trimmed them down, then distressed and inked the edges.
I matted them with cardstock before adhering them to the black card base.
There are so many pretty colours that work with these images, so I used several.
One side is border punched, along with two corners.
I kept the cards clean to show off the lovely designs.

I used one of the tags for the inside of each card.
The perfect spot to write or stamp your greeting!

Using my Cricut, I created a box to hold my set of cards.
I decorated the front of the box to match the cards.

I made so many cards that the envelopes wouldn't fit in the box.
I just stacked them under the box and made a ribbon band to hold them together.

On the back of the box I adhered a pocket from the kit.
I inserted another one of the tags into the pocket.
If this is given as a gift, a note could be added on this tag.
If I keep this, I can use it to keep track of who I send these cards to.
I can also store some postage stamps in this pocket.
Here you can see that I embossed the entire box before assembling it.
It gives it a wonderful texture!

Here is what it looks like all together!

Materials Used:
Papers: Recollections - Cardstock;
Cricut Cartridge: Tags, Bags, Boxes and More 2;
Punch: Fiskars Border Punch;
Corner Punch: EK Success - Sentiment 1 and 2;
Ink: Distress Ink - Iced Spruce;
Ribbon: Stampin' Up.

You Colour My World

Happy Saturday, my friends!

I hope you're all enjoying a beautiful weekend!
I'm just popping in with a quick little project share!

I recently discovered some fabulous digital images over on Etsy.
They are from Vera Lane Studios.
These images really make me smile...and you know how much I like to smile! :o)

Although my fingers were just itching to colour this girl...I didn't!
This is the project that popped into my head and had to be let out!

I used my Gelatos to colour a rainbow background on a 6 X 6 canvas.
Then after colouring just the skin of the sweet girl, I adhered her to the canvas with dimensionals.
Finally, I made the boxed words on the computer, printed them out, and adhered them.

I hope you like my cheerful canvas!

All Dressed Up - Challenge #33 - Anything Goes

Hello, my friends!

Today is the start of a new challenge at All Dressed Up!
The challenges are always "Anything Goes" but you must use an All Dressed Up image.

This will be my last post as a member of the All Dressed Up DT.
I have made the difficult decision to step down from the team.
You'll still be seeing me use Wendy's sweet images because I love them!

So, on to today's project...

I used the lovely image called "Hippie Chick" which you can find HERE.

To create the fun scalloped card base, I began by folding my 8 1/2 X 11 cardstock in half.
I then placed the Grand Nestabilitie die just off the folded edge of the paper, and ran it through my Big Shot.
It's such an easy way to make a great shaped card.
Then I just layered up some other dies and added the fussy cut image.
I used the sentiment "Amazing" because it truly is amazing to see a whole kaleidoscope  of butterflies.
One actually visited me in my yard one day.
FYI - I actually googled what a group of butterflies is called.
There are several names, including: kaleidoscope, swarm, rabble or flutter.
I went with my favorite but "flutter" was next! :o)

Materials Used:
Papers: Recollections - Cardstock;
Image: All Dressed Up - Hippie Chick,
Spectrum Noir Markers;
Sentiment: Simon Says Stamp - Amazing;
Ink: Memento - Tuxedo Black;
Dies: Nestabilities - Grand Scalloped Rectangles,
A2 Floral ribbon Threader;
Unknown: Rhinestones and Glitter Glue.

Hello, my friends!

I hope you've all been enjoying a wonderful week!
We had snow early in the week and are now enjoying some very balmy temperatures.
It put me in the mood to make a balmy weather card! :o)

I found this sweet image at Tiddly Inks and it really appealed to me.
Perhaps because I really wish I had a swimsuit like hers.
Wouldn't it make the beach a more comfortable place? lol

Papers: Recollections - Cardstock;
Spectrum Noir Markers;
Sentiment: Simon Says Stamp;
Die: Whimsy Stamps - Lighthouse;
Punches: Stampin' Up - Oval,

Happy Easter With Some Sushi Dolls!!

Hello, my friends!

I spent some time today playing with a couple of new release Sushi Dolls!
They are called Bunny Boy and Bunny Girl,
and you can find them in the shop right HERE.
I had just finished coloring them up when I watched a great video by Dina for Split Coast Stampers.
(You can see the video HERE)

I knew these cuties would be perfect on this double twisted easel card!

First, I fussy cut the images.
Then I prepared the base and added my first layer of decorative paper.
These sweet kids are out on their Easter egg hunt, so there had to be some layers of grass.
I cut a variety of circles out of several papers, trimmed them and nestled them in the grass.
Don't they look like pretty Easter eggs?
I popped the sentiment up on dimensionals to act as a stopper.
I took several pictures so you can get a good look!

Here's the front view:

The view from the top:

This is Bunny Girl:

Bunny Boy comes with his little basket filled with one egg:
