Tutti Designs - Nativity Ornament Die

Hello, my friends!

It's Monday, and I'm back with a new Tutti Designs share!

This week I'm sharing another beautiful die from the Christmas in July release.
This one is the "Nativity Ornament" die,
and you can find it HERE.

Again, it's a lovely die that offers many creative options.

I knew that I wanted to cut the die out of black cardstock
to get that wonderful silhouette effect.
I wanted yellow behind it to reflect the glow of the star.
I was originally going to trim the yellow to fit just behind the die.
However, I decided I really liked the die placed on the larger piece of yellow.

I used the Stitched Nesting Rectangle die to cut the yellow cardstock.
Then I adhered it onto a black card base.
Finally, I added mini black rhinestones, and a black ribbon bow.

Here's a closer look at the die-cut.
I added one final sparkle sticker to represent the star.

Other Materials Used:
Papers: Recollections - Cardstock;
Bling: Crafts - Mini Rhinestones, Sparkle Sticker;
Ribbon: Celebrate It.

I'll be back next week with a new project.

Tutti Designs - Holly Panel

Hello, my friends!

It's Monday, and I'm back with a new Tutti Designs share!

This week I'm sharing one of the dies from the fabulous new Christmas release!
If you haven't seen this collection, you'll want to check it out!
So many gorgeous new dies for the season!

Today I'm sharing the beautiful Holly Panel Die,
which you can find right HERE.

This is such a pretty panel die,
and it fits perfectly on top of the largest Stitched Nesting Rectangle die.

The creative possibilities are endless,
just by varying the colors of the layers.

I began with a kraft card base.
I used the Stitched Rectangle die to cut the background
from a neutral music design.

Finally, I cut this beautiful Holly Panel from a green paper.
It's just so pretty!
I finished it with a pretty red ribbon bow,
and some liquid pearl holly berries.

Other Materials Used:
Papers: My Mind's Eye - Naughty or Nice,
Recollections - Kraft Cardstock;

Gecko Galz August Customer Challenge - By the Shore

Hello, my friends!

Welcome back to a brand new Customer Challenge at Gecko Galz.
The fun August Challenge is:

By the Shore!

* * * * *
I can't even begin to tell you how much fun I had with this project!
I always enjoy it when the pictures in my head come out in the photos on my blog! lol
The trick was figuring out how to do it! :o)

I was inspired to make this project when I saw the ship
 on the Sail Away Collage Sheet from Gecko Galz.

I began by looking through my stash of little bottles.
This triangular glass bottle, with a cork stopper, was just perfect.
It measures 3" tall to the neck, and each side is 2 1/4" wide.
The glass is very thick, so the inside space is smaller.
I decided my ship would be best at 1 1/4" tall.
All the other elements for this project came from the
I determined the sizes I wanted them all to be,
and then set them all to print then cut on my Cricut.

Everything is adhered to the inside of the bottle, except the twine.
This is the front:

On the top of the cork I added a punched circle, and a starfish from the kit.

This is the back of the bottle.
For the back of the ship, I simple cut a mirror image.

This fun sign is one of the icons from the Sea Side Splendor Kit.
It made me laugh, so I just had to add it!

This is a bit of a top-side view.
Once everything was glued in place,
I added some small seashells, gold micro beads, and copper glitter.
I then put the cork in place and shook the bottle up.
You know what this does to the glitter, right?
So now it looks more beachy, and like there's sand in all the crevices.

The last thing I did was to wrap twine around the neck of the bottle
 and glue it in place.
I hope you like my ship in a bottle as much as I enjoyed making it! :o)

Other Materials Used:
Glass bottle with cork stopper;
 Paper: Teal Cardstock;
Filler: Mini Seashells, Gold Micro Beads, Copper Glitter;
Adhesive: Glossy Accents;
Tools: Cricut Explore Air Machine, Tweezers, Skewer.
